You can "walk to Times Square" and the Theater District from this "decent" hotel that works "for businesspeople" thanks to plenty of meeting space, an "astonishing view" of Manhattan "on higher floors" and a "pleasant staff"; though some ask "where to purchase" the "exceptional" pillow-top beds, a portion of patrons are peeved over "way overpriced food", "small", "run-down" rooms (ongoing renovations may address that) and being "nickel-and-dimed."

The concierge was amazing, very helpful.
The bathrooms in the room where very outdated and small.

The location is a short walk to Times Square and Central Park, and Hells Kitchen for dinning (which I highly recommend) it is right beside a subway station - so you can go anywhere. The staff is wonderful. ...read more

The location.
TV didn't work, no temperature control, and missing light bulb.

This is a first for me! I have never written a review about a hotel we have stayed at. We had numerous issues with the room, I wasn't there to watch TV, but in the morning when the news programs are on, it would have been nice to watch. The temperature control unit in the room only moved ambient air. We controlled the room temperature by opening and closing a window. Unfortunately this room was located near the large compressors for the hotel so we had to listen to them constantly running. There was one bedside lamp that was missing a bulb so reading at night on that side was not an option. Our room was some what dated, the carpets were worn, in the bathroom there was peeling paint, and the door had numerous dents and dings that were just painted over to hide. ...read more

Location.
Hot room, no AC. Breakfast way too expensive. Small room.

I was very disappointed in the room. Way too small. Very hot, no air conditioning and no way of relieving heat. My daughter and I were charged 68.00 for breakfast. This is horrible for coffee, juice, and a buffet. ...read more

Fabulous beds (comfortable, cozy and nice linens),and fabulous location and convenience.
Small room(normal for NYC).

This hotel met my expectations, had a safe for my valuables, a comfortable bed is VERY important to me and it not only looked good and up-to-date but was very comfortable-had what I needed mostly but had to pay extra for wireless use, no view but great flat screen TV with many premium stations. It looked a little tired and a bit worn. But really for what I had heard of in NYC, lately I was very pleased. ...read more

The hotel room was very small along with the bathroom.

I stayed at the Sheraton Newyork towers and i was extremely disappointed.
I will never recommend or stay there again. the room was very small along with the bathroom. My husband went to work out a the gym and they told him he would have to pay $10.00 but if he didnt want to pay that charge he could go across the busy street to the Sheraton Manhattan for FREE, what, does that make any sense was told that the gym wasn't apart of the hotel. I can't believe we spent that much money on buffet but you live and learn and next time we will walk outside and eat at the greasy spoon which would have been better and cheaper. ...read more
